Cheerio, sweet friends! Writing to you from jolly ole London and the Z Hotel Covent Garden. We have had an amazing 18 hours in England. Have to thank my friend Deb who lives in London-ish and blogs at
Deb's World for arranging for sunshine for our first days here.
Before I write another letter, allow me this disclaimer: I am typing this (with my index finger) on my phone. Heaven help me and you!! Lord only knows how many mistakes I am making but I can't see well enough to fix them. I apologize.
Not going to tary tonight. We have walked 17K steps and are bleary eyed and weary. Just couldn't bear to miss out on completing this A - Z blogging challenge. Only 3 days left. I've got this!
So, today's letter is X. And we are on Day 24 of the challenge. As a reminder, my theme for the challenge has been glimmers or little blessings in my life.
One of those is (e)Xercise.
X is for Exercise
Yeah, like a lot of folks, I complain about exercising on the daily. But I do it. And exercise rewards my efforts with an improved mind set and a healthier body.
PC and I work out at the gym together. Well, not side by side but at the same time. We hike, walk, ride bikes, swim (and float) together. And as of today, we have hobbled all over Stonehenge and Windsor Castle.
When I was a moody teenager then a moody young adult and then a moody adult, my father would always suggest I go for a walk to release some stress and improve my mood. His suggestion usually made me grumpier but then I would go for a walk and feel much better. So I forgave him.
Exercise is a drug for my mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. And I am so thankful to have a semi-sound mind and body that allows me to exercise.
Your Turn
Do you have a good relationship with exercise or kind of a love-hate thing going on? Do you track steps and have goals for working out? I do!! May not always meet those goals but I set them again the next week.
Thank you for stopping by. Keeping this short and sweet so I won't fall asleep mid-sentence.
Sweet dreams!
Hugs and kisses,
Leslie
